Turn idle hardware into
network earnings.

Connect a phone, a desktop or a server as a node. The network routes compute tasks to your device, records every job on the gas ledger and pays node operators their share in DGEN.

Dispatch

How a job finds your node

Every request on the network, from a point transfer to an AI pipeline, is a task with a class. The dispatcher checks which nodes are online, which tiers may run that class, and the assignment strategy set by the network. If a device is eligible, it gets the job. If none is, gend.me compute runs it so the user never waits.

Usage is recorded only when the handler succeeds. The sale is split between the app that requested it, the node operator and the network, and operator earnings accrue until there is a whole cent of DGEN to pay.

  • Eligibility by tier: light, medium and heavy nodes
  • Devices heartbeat; offline nodes are skipped
  • Local AI models (Ollama) run on your desktop when pulled
  • Privacy opt-out keeps a member’s AI on gend.me compute only
Node tiers

Pick the hardware you already own

Tiers describe hardware classes. Which task classes each tier may run is set by the network and shown on your Gas Stations page.

Tier 1 · Light nodes

Mobile devices and IoT. Individually small, collectively huge: light nodes take the serverless classes, T1 to T3.

Mobile node app →

Tier 2 · Medium nodes

Desktops, gaming PCs and laptops. With a local model pulled they run AI chat and agent sequences, T1 to T5.

Desktop client →

Tier 3 · Heavy nodes

Dedicated servers and multi-GPU rigs: the apex of the network, built for T6 multi-agent pipelines.

Onboarding

From download to first payout

Register

Create your gend.me identity and join or create a group. Your node belongs to a group.

Install a client

The desktop client on Windows, or the mobile app on iOS and Android.

Connect your device

Sign in, pick your group, switch the node on. Pull a local model if you want AI classes.

Stay online

The client heartbeats while running. Jobs are assigned only while you are connected.

Watch the ledger

Every job and payout is visible in your dashboard’s Compute Gas panel.

Questions

Good to know

Do I need a GPU?

No. Light and medium nodes handle transfers, ledger writes and web requests on any CPU. AI classes benefit from a GPU and a pulled local model.

How am I paid?

In DGEN, the network’s unit of account for services. Operator fees accrue per completed job and are credited in whole cents to your wallet. They are fees for compute you provide, not investment returns, and depend on how much work the network routes to you.

Can I stop at any time?

Yes. Disconnect the client and the dispatcher stops assigning you jobs. Earnings already recorded stay yours.

Earn gas

Your hardware already has a second job.

Register, connect a device and put the compute you already own to work. Earnings depend on network demand and are not guaranteed.
