Storage that
answers to you.

Each web app on the GenD network runs in its own container with dedicated codebase, database and media volumes. No shared tenancy, no platform that can hold your data hostage, and backups you size yourself.

Architecture

Three volumes, one namespace, nobody else inside

When you launch a web app it gets its own Kubernetes namespace. Inside it: a balanced persistent disk for the codebase, an SSD persistent disk for the database and a private object-storage bucket for media. The sizes come from the storage tiers you choose at checkout and can be resized from your dashboard.

Nothing is pooled with other customers. Your container is yours to configure, yours to export and yours to delete. The hosting plan prices are derived from the real cloud cost of exactly those resources.

  • Codebase and database on dedicated persistent disks
  • Media in a private bucket; public access is blocked by policy
  • Resize storage tiers from Change Hosting Plan
  • Prices derived from real cloud cost, reviewed before they change
Storage services

What your container includes

Codebase volume

Themes, plugins and uploads of code live on a balanced persistent disk sized by your plan tier.

Database volume

MySQL on an SSD persistent disk. Fast reads for your store, your boards and your member community.

Media bucket

A per-customer, private object-storage bucket for images and video, with WebP and poster generation handled by the GenD Media Optimizer.

Backups on a schedule

Daily snapshots are included. Add Twice Daily or Hourly frequency when your data changes faster than once a day.

Vault security →

Quota-aware retention

The backup runner keeps the newest sets that fit your storage tier and reports what it pruned, so retention is explicit, not a surprise.

Delete means delete

Deleting a site or membership flips its disks to delete, empties and removes its bucket and deletes the container claim. Nothing stays running unpaid.

Backup storage plans

Priced at twice the real cloud cost

Storage tiers are priced from the real cost of the cloud resources behind them. Backup plans use a 2× margin; the numbers below are the live catalog, in Canadian dollars per month before applicable taxes.

Lifecycle

From launch to export

Launch

Pick codebase, database and media tiers at checkout. The container is provisioned for you.

Build or migrate

Start from the GenD Society theme and plugins, or migrate an existing WordPress site into the container.

Protect

Daily backups run automatically. Upgrade storage or frequency as you grow.

Resize or leave

Change tiers any time. If you leave, your resources are torn down and backups purged after 30 days.

Questions

Good to know

Who can access my container?

You and the members you grant access to. gend.me operators run the cluster; your namespace, disks and bucket are isolated from every other customer.

Can I export everything?

Yes. Backups are yours to download, WordPress exports work as usual, and your profile supports full personal-data export requests.

What happens to backups if I delete my app?

They stay available for 30 days after deletion, then they are purged. Disks and the media bucket are removed immediately.

Own your stack

Storage you never have to ask for.

Launch a container, pick your tiers and keep every byte under your own terms.
